Second Annual Antique Appraisal Fair Will Benefit Christian County Library Foundation

On November 4th, the Christian County Library Foundation is holding their second annual Antique Appraisal Fair, sponsored by Cookie’s Antique World. The event happens 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. that Saturday in the Netzer Room at the Christian County Library. Attendees can purchase tickets to have their antiques and collectibles appraised for just $5 per item by local professional appraisers, with all proceeds benefiting the Library Foundation. Tickets are available in advance at the Christian County Library in Ozark, or at the door the day of the event.

The event features local appraisers Mike Cook, Betty Shook, Matthew Robb, Brandy Dreasher, Jim Wright, and Mike Sexton. These appraisers have a wide variety of specialties, including silver, glassware, art, toys, furniture, jewelry, and general antiques.

The Christian County Library Foundation exists to raise funds for and awareness of library expansion in Christian County. Funds from the Foundation will help cover some costs of construction and renovation of libraries in the near future, after voters approved a renewal of the library’s 20 cent levy in August, allowing the library to establish additional branches in Nixa, Sparta, and Clever, and fund significant renovations to the branch in Ozark.
