To better meet the needs of our community while the branches are closed any Christian County resident can now apply for a temporary e-Library card that grants access to our digital collection of books, magazines, movies, music, educational and vocational databases. 
Before registering for an e-Library card,  read through the frequently asked questions: 

Who can apply for a temporary card?
Any Chrisitan County resident that currently doesn’t have a library card.

What if I have a Christian County library card but it’s expired?
Any patron (including out-of-county) whose card has or will expire during the closure period will be renewed through June 30. This is to allow all patrons’ continual access to digital resources and library databases.

What if I have a card but I don’t remember the card number?
Contact us through Ask-a-Librarian and we can help.

How long will the e-Library last?
All e-Library cards will remain active until June 30.

What resources will I have access to with the e-Library card?
Any e-resource the library offers will be available with the temporary e-Library card. We encourage you to use our extensive digital collection of books, magazines, streaming movies, and music services. We also offer several educational, news sources, career, and skills-based databases for learners of all ages.

How many digital check-outs on Hoopla am I allowed per month?
Now through the end of May, all patron download limits have been increased from 4 per month to 6 per month on the Hoopla platform.

When I apply for an e-Library card I receive an error message, what should I do?
If you are unable to complete the e-Library card application, send us an Ask-a-Librarian message.

Once the library branches are open can I still use my e-Library card?
e-Library cards are active until June 30. When the branches reopen swing by your local branch and apply for a permanent Christian County library card.
