August 1st through August 8th, Christian County Library patrons will be able to donate their new, unopened, unexpired food and hygiene items and the li;brary will waive $0.50 in overdue fines for every item you donate, up to $10 per library account. All donations will benefit Least of These, Inc., a Christian County food pantry. (Please note: We can waive only overdue fines, not charges for lost or damaged items or collection agency fees.)
Although all items will be accepted, these are the items Least of These needs the most in August:
Deodorant
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Canned Spaghetti or Ravioli
Pork & Beans
Granola Bars or Breakfast Bars
Tea Bags
Taco Shells or Tortillas
Salsa
Refried Beans
Canned Fruit
