RFP for Lease of Existing Building in Nixa, MO

The Christian County Library (“Library”) is seeking Proposals for the lease of an existing building in within the city limits of Nixa, MO. The building must be suitable for a public library. It just be a white or gray box or able to be renovated to suit the library’s needs.

The property being offered must be suitable for the Library’s intended use and meet the specifications contained herein; it must be located within the city of Nixa, on or north of HWY 14/Mt. Vernon St and within a quarter to half mile of HWY 160; may not have easements, restrictions, or reservations of record that interfere with use of or access to the property for the Library’s intended purposes; and, must have real estate taxes paid to date of lease.

The library is seeking a reinstatement of its tax levy as part of a countywide election being held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. If the tax measure passes, the lease can be put forth and begin at a date determined by the Library and Proposer. If the tax measure does not pass, the Library will not be able to lease a building in Nixa. The property would no longer be needed.

The Library will be procuring a general obligation bond to fund the renovation of the building.
