Temporary Change to ServicesPlease note that due to Covid-19 some of these services may be suspended or changed. For more information about a specific resource or service, please call the library at 417-581-2432 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and our Youth Services staff will get back to you as soon as possible.
Library ToursBring your class for a tour of the library, including some "behind the scenes" department visits. We love to recommend books, databases, and other resources to your group as well as give some background in how libraries work and why they are an important community resource. Ask for more information about signing up the students in your class for library cards!
Special StorytimesBring your class for a special storytime at the library. Special storytimes include our staff reading great books to your students as well as a special activity afterward. These storytimes typically last for 45 minutes and can include daycares, preschools, elementary classes, and more.
Classroom VisitWe'll visit your classroom to provide instruction on how to use library resources, like our amazing digital resources like Hoopla or A to Z World Culture. Staff will tailor each visit to the age level of the class to provide a customized visit. We can also provide book talks on new books or award nominees like the Show Me, Mark Twain, Truman, or Gateway awards to get everyone excited about reading!
Before school ends, staff can also visit your classroom to pump up kids about our annual Summer Reading Program!
