Ready To Learn With The Christian County Library?

Lessons with the Library are an interactive and fun educational supplement resource to assist educators, parents, and at-home learners. Each month, library staff will create lesson plans and activities that follow state and national learning standards centered around a common theme designed to be completed at home.

What's Included

Lessons include printable PDF handouts, guided activities, tailored book lists, virtual storytimes, and library resource tutorials. Lesson plans are modified with specific age-ranges in mind. One for Pre-K to 2nd grade for adult-led instruction, and one for grades 3-5 designed for more independent learners. Although these lessons are intentionally constructed for specific grade ranges, parents and students are welcome to try out both each month.

Designed Using Missouri Learning Standards

Lessons contain activities that have been connected to Missouri Learning Standards using the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) guidelines. Although these lessons have been connected to state learning standards, they are not intended to replace the educational curriculum provided through public, private, or at-home learning.

Lessons with the library are perfect for children of all ages, educators, parents, grandparents, families that have just started learning at-home, and seasoned at-home learners. Please note that an active Christian County Library card will be necessary to access select activities. Need a library card?
