Flu and COVID-19 Vaccines Available at the Christian County Library
Need a Flu or COVID-19 vaccine? The library is partnering with Alps Pharmacy to provide walk-in vaccine clinics administered by licensed pharmacists at two community branch locations. The Flu vaccine is available for anyone aged 7 or older. Ages 5 through 11 will be eligible for the lower dose COVID-19 vaccine and those 12 years and older may receive a full dose COVID-19 vaccine. The dates, times and locations will be:
Monday, December 13, from Noon – 2 p.m. at the Clever Community Branch
Monday, December 20, from Noon – 2 p.m. at the Sparta Community Branch
There is no charge for the COVID-19 vaccine and most insurances are accepted for the Flu vaccine. To determine if one or both vaccines are right for you take a look at the frequently asked questions below provided by Alps Pharmacy and speak with your physician.

Can I get the Flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the same time?
Yes. Patrons may receive one vaccine in each arm on the same day.
Which Flu and COVID-19 vaccines will be used?
Afluria Quadrivalent manufactured by Seqirus for the Flu
COVID-19 Vaccine manufactured by Pfizer
COVID-19 Vaccine manufactured by Moderna
What are the age restrictions?
Patrons age 7 and up may receive the Flu vaccine. Patrons 5 through 11 will be eligible for the lower dose COVID-19 vaccine and patrons 12 years and older may receive a full dose COVID-19 vaccine.
If my child is under 18 will they need parental consent to receive a vaccine?
Yes. Those under the age of 18 will need parent or guardian consent to receive a vaccine.
How much does the COVID-19 vaccine cost?
There is no cost for the COVID-19 vaccine.
How much does the Flu vaccine cost?
Most insurances will cover the cost of the vaccine. If a patron does not have insurance, they can still get the vaccine for $25.
What form of payments will be accepted?
Alps Pharmacy will accept cash, check or credit cards.
Is there any paperwork involved?
We ask that patrons receiving the Flu vaccine bring their insurance cards and complete the Flu Vaccine Form before arriving at the clinic. For patrons receiving the COVID-19 booster please complete the COVID Booster Vaccine Form before arriving.
Can I receive my 1st, 2nd or 3rd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at this clinic?
Yes. Anyone eligible and due for the COVID-19 vaccine may receive them. We do request a vaccine card or proof of previous vaccinations for 2nd or 3rd doses.
